 Steinvater: The History
Founded 1995 in Wolfurt (Austria, not Australia!!!) STEINVATER performed on several local events. Coversongs were the main part on the setlist. In the end of 1996 the first demo-album containing four songs was recorded. In the following two years STEINVATER rocked on the stages in Vorarlberg. The continuing change of the STEINVATER-line up and the local distances led to a break from 1998 to 2002. During this period the STEINVATER-members were engaged in several side projects (Depresion, Marocain, Shadowcast) and some demo-recordings (STEINVATER-demo containing some unreleased material, a Depresion-demo and several Marocain-demos.) In late 2002 STEINVATER was revived by its Drummer Markus Ungerank and Gitarist/Vocalist Simon Reinelt. Both, a completely new setlist and concept (Heavy Rock/Groove) were created. Finally STEINVATER was completed by the outstanding bassplayer and former STEINVATER-member Mario Fetz, which made the anticipation of forthcoming livegigs and Demo-recordings possible.
